Starting your studies

Hello new Fuksi! Welcome to the Guild of Automation and Systems Technology! These pages will be updated during the summer and are a collection of all kinds of useful information and materials to help you with the start of your studies and maybe even the whole first year.

Depending on your studies these are the people to contact in case of emergency or any other case.

Whatever the reason you need to contact us for we will try to get back to you ASAP sometimes even in the middle of the night.

I’m coming to Aalto. What to do?

• Accept your study place
• Set yourself as present for the semester and pay the AYY membership fee. At the same time you can pay the membership fee for the guild.
• Apply for student card
• Apply for housing for example from AYY or HOAS
• Apply for study grants from KELA, if you are a Finnish citizen.
• Buy HSL travel card
• Join the relevant Telegram groups, follow this link to join the group for first year DSD students and this link to join the group for Master’s and International students.
